Online radio

I couldn't think of what to put in the CD player while I cooked tea, so I went for the online radio option.

I started off at UCB, but there wasn't anything on I wanted to listen to (I gave the channels at least 5 seconds each to impress me !!). Then I spotted on their website a link to The Word - so I thought I'd try that.

I'm really impressed. Good music that I like (so far) and very few interuptions with presenter waffle. It's been playing around my house for a couple of hours now.

My PC is connected to my HiFi, and my HiFi also has wireless speakers - the end result is sound all around !!

Question: Is radio the ultimate random play?

Lost contact details...

For various reasons, I have lost quite a lot of contact details for people, so if you think this may apply to you, you may want to call or email me to keep in touch.

The short version is that all my phone contacts were lost. I retrieved a lot of phone numbers from my old phone that was still lying around at home, but these numbers are about a year old so may now be incorrect.
Also as I've been using my phone extensively for email, I have also lost a lot of email addresses.

If you've emailed me on my personal .co.uk or .me.uk addresses, or through the Worship Released site I should still have your email online - otherwise there is a good chance it went with my phone contacts!

I think I have most people covered one way or another, but I thought I'd mention this in case someone out there was waiting for a call.
(I also lost my to do list and main calendar, so I don't know if anyone is waiting!)

Reading lists

In response to Wulf's blog and his current reading list posts, I thought I'd post about what I'm currently reading - as if anyone cared ;-)

I've just finished 'Wyrd Sisters' by Terry Pratchett on my current re-read of his Discworld books. Unfortunately, I've reached the gap on the bookshelf where some books are missing. I want to keep reading in order, so that is on hold until i get chance to visit the library.

In the mean time, I've switched back to my QI book. Same idea as the TV show - basically lots of the stuff that people often get wrong (urban myths etc) and that pedants like myself love to know eg the fact the Henry VIII only had 2 wives, lemmings have never jumped off cliffs, ostriches never bury their head in sand etc etc !!

"Praying for a windfall"

Just opened our local freebie paper and spotted an article about our church right at the front.

It's about our hopes / plans for a new building that isn't falling down!
